Follow-up meetings

ReunionLocation: AZTI Derio

On 23 May, the fourth and last monitoring meeting of the LIFE GISWASTE project was held at the AZTI (Derio) premises, nearly 4 years after the project got underway. The meeting was attended by the member of the monitoring team representing the European Commission, along with the partner companies of the consortium. The purpose of the meeting was for the European Commission to be able to assess the technical aspects and financial status of the project, along with advising social entities on administrative aspects regarding the winding-up of the project scheduled for this June. The delegates had the opportunity to see for themselves the tool developed in the project.

Technical workshops

Jan Feb 2016Technical staff from the GISWASTE partners - AZTI and LK - held several meetings in October, November and December in order to validate the development of the GIS tool on which they are working.The meetings were opportunities to discuss the results obtained during the animal feed and biogas plant pilot schemes conducted by LKS using the tool.These meetings are proving to be effective to advance towards the final validation of the GIS and fine tune its potential and scope.
